Recycled kraft paper rolls are a multipurpose product used for wrapping and packing products, ideal for a host of industries and are a sustainable option made from 100% recycled content.
These recycled paper rolls are made from 90gsm weight paper. Core size for each roll is approximately 28mm so fits most dispensers and roll holders.

Recycled kraft paper is made from previously produced kraft paper. This produces an eco-friendly sustainable paper without the need to cut down more trees. We stock recycled kraft paper in 5 different sizes, in 90gsm thickness on rolls which are a really handy, compact, 180m long. They can be used with our kraft paper roll dispensers which can be found here.
The process of recycling kraft paper is very similar to the recycling process of other paper items. The waste kraft papers are collected and sorted then separated to remove impurities and toxin from the papers. After the papers have been sorted, they are taken to a mill, where the recycling process begins.
The recycling process includes pulping, cleaning, screening, deinking, dispersion, kneading, bleaching, water treatment, and waste handling. At the end of the recycling process, new recycled kraft paper rolls are produced.
Nevertheless, there are some challenges to recycling paper kraft, one is the risk of contamination, and the second is market prices. Most people are not conscious of the recycling process, and this can impact the recyclability of the waste paper.
Contaminants during the recycling process include oil, dirt, scrap steel, and food waste. Most of the contaminants require chemical processes to be eliminated.
The second challenge is market price. For kraft paper to have value, it must maintain its quality, durability, and other properties. However, the chemical processes required to eliminate contaminants during the recycling process cost money and actually reduce the paper’s fibre quality, so after recycling, it loses value.
We need to be cautious with the way we use and dispose kraft papers. Every item we own must be used cautiously. It will be ironic to try to protect our environment by recycling waste products and unwanted items while making the recycling process difficult.
