Having a colourful, eye-catching design is all very well but you need to consider whether the carton is easy to assemble and whether your precious cargo is sufficiently protected.
Whilst it is important to protect your cargo, voidfiller is quite literally a waste of space. Simply put, every square metre of void-fill you use reduces the amount of freight storage available to you, and loss of space means a reduction in the revenue you receive.
Voidfiller should really be renamed landfiller because, due to its structure, it is currently being poured into landfills and suffocating our oceans, it is our aim to eradicate the need for voidfill altogether.
Take the humble lightbulb as an example: since time immemorial packaging for lightbulbs has been a basic cuboid shape. But think about the waste of space, as well as the lack of creativity in the design, and it quickly becomes obvious that a T-Shaped carton would be more space-efficient and could dramatically increase the number of units being shipped, thereby reducing weight, postage and shipping costs.
With over 600 different styles of carton available it is possible to reduce the cost of the carton by using a style which uses a smaller blanking template and therefore reduce your overall cost.
